Farmers Insurance Purchases New Office

Farmers Insurance Purchases New Office Through Allen Sigmon

Farmers Insurance started looking for a new location for their district offices in December 2016. Their lease would soon expire and they needed a space for their staff and in-house agents to continue to help insure qualified candidates and plan for their futures. They also needed a location that would allow Farmers Insurance to expand their reach in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque, and train new agents looking to start their own branches.

Allen Sigmon Real Estate Group helped Farmers Insurance find an ideal location in Rio Rancho.

“Buying a shell building allowed me the opportunity to build out the interior office the way I wanted, to have the office layout flow,” said Randy Johnson, District Manager. “My main goal was to reduce my space from 3,000 to around 2,000 square feet, but we didn’t want to lose any amenities such as private offices, a conference room, consultation rooms, and a break area for agents to have lunch and take breaks. ”

Austin Tidwell and Daniel Kearney, Associate Brokers for Allen Sigmon Real Estate Group, represented Johnson and Farmers Insurance. “Austin and Daniel were very attentive from beginning to the end,” said Johnson. “They helped me understand the process, and went out of their way to ensure they lined up numerous contractors for me to bid on high-quality work needed to build out my new district office.”

The Tidwell and Kearney team were able to identify the property, set up a competitive bid process for the build-out, help package the purchase and build-out loan through Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union, and close the deal – all completed in 3 month’s time.

Allen Sigmon Real Estate Group would like to thank Anne Apicella of Colliers International, as she represented the seller and was great to work with, as well as Ric Rutherford of Rutherford Design & Construction.
