Building Community Through Jiu Jitsu, Yoga, and Strength & Conditioning

Written by: Ellaf Al-Tamimi

Building community through Jiu-Jitsu, Yoga, and Strength & Conditioning is imperative in today's world, where people often feel isolated and disconnected from each other. Dark Haven Studio understands this need and creates an environment that is welcoming and supportive. We sat down and caught up with the owner of Dark Haven Studio, Brendon Baca.

Since opening his studio in 2018, Brendon has been leasing space from our property, Laramie Square Shopping Center. In 2018, Dark Haven Studio started its operations in a 1,400-square-foot space: Within a few short years, they outgrew that space and moved into a 4,000-square-foot studio, also located at Laramie Square Shopping Center in May of 2021. While Dark Haven offers classes daily, including women-only, and youth classes, they have local affiliates that help target their mission of Growth and Evolution. Their affiliates include Rough Rider Barbell, Sandoval Fight Systems, and Duke City MMA.

Dark Haven Studio has a team of passionate and experienced instructors who are dedicated to helping their students reach their goals. Each instructor brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the table. Together, the instructors have created a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages students to push their limits and achieve their goals.

Through Jiu Jitsu, Yoga, and Strength & Conditioning, students not only improve their physical and mental well-being but also form connections that can become lifelong friendships. If you're looking for a place where you can improve your physical and mental health, meet new people, and evolve into a better version of yourself, then Dark Haven Studio is the place for you.
