David Miles, Allen Sigmon’s marketing director, called Albuquerque a gem to find its ideal candidates. Upon receiving the experience and opportunities to move on to other firms or markets, Allen Sigmon has been able to retain its employees through its open floor, collaborative office and by establishing a fun work environment. He said its principles — Brad Allen and Lance Sigmon — set the tone for a working culture employees want to continue to be a part of.
That culture is part of the reason why Allen Sigmon was named Albuquerque Business First’s Biggest Job Creator among this year’s Top 100 Private Companies.
The group acquired Laramie Square last September and is in the process of renovating the 40,666-square-foot space to improve the foot traffic, and ideally lead to continued growth around the area. Miles said Allen Sigmon recently cut the ribbon on a New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division on the west side.
Miles said his company has been able to grow over the years through finding the best value in deals along with making the local community a desirable place for investments. He said Allen Sigmon has reached $125 million in property assets.
Allen Sigmon ranked No. 5 on Business First’s List of Largest New Mexico Commercial Real Estate Firms with $90 million in 2017 commercial transactions volume.
